CITY VAMPIRES / LIVE UPDATE

City Vampires: beasts, bosses, and a richer city

Meet redesigned beasts and bosses, explore a more detailed hideout and graveyard, and keep building your vampire through Bloodlines and Night Hunts.

October 7: a clearer path through the night

The October 7 final-polish release improves NPC spawning and curb movement, clears obstructing foliage near the camera, separates HUD targets from objectives, and makes the Boutique easier to use on compact screens.

Eight shared entrance and interior locations also received gothic details. Desktop combat and onboarding, phone and tablet emulation, inventory and respawn, and a complete two-player crypt run were checked in Studio before publication. Physical-device performance, paid checkout, and production save/rejoin still need separate validation.

This update is published as v119. Core save, progression, economy, and purchase modules were preserved. We are holding the release steady while evaluating player feedback.

City Vampires is our studio’s main focus. The current public alpha combines vampire combat and feeding with a neon city, haunted wilderness, and the infernal Cinder Below. Start in the Coven sanctuary, choose your class, and follow your first hunt.

New: beasts, bosses, and a richer city

The visual update gives Thornwolves and Ash Hounds four-legged bodies, animated paws, fangs, and distinct thorn or ember details. Captain Vesper, the Moonfall Harbinger, Cinder Archon, Infernal Warden, and Ember Matriarch now have individual armor, crowns, and mantle designs.

Hunters, police, civilians, and Coven allies wear more distinctive clothing, gloves, and boots that follow their existing movements. Skeletons have detailed skulls and ribcages. Decorated coffins, candles, benches, gravestones, and a crypt-side shrine add character to familiar locations. Your powers, rewards, quests, and saved progress carry over.

Bloodlines, Night Hunts, and elites

Spend earned points on 12 perks across Predator, Nightwalker, and Blood Mage. The hideout board offers rotating hunts appropriate to your level; accept one, complete its goal, and return for XP and Essence. Hunter Captain, Ancient Vampire, and Blood Enforcer encounters offer tougher fights and a chance at rare cosmetic titles.

Two ways to hunt.

Choose Nightborn or Dreadfang. Master claw combos, Bat Dash, feeding, and class powers. Unlock double jump as you level, then learn when to fight and when to disappear.

Beyond the neon.

Explore expanded Ashland, purple-lit Violet Row, rooftop routes, a graveyard, and Thornveil Forest. Find the forest portal to the Cinder Below. Blood Moons, fog, traffic, and hostile patrols give each journey an edge.

Make the build yours.

Collect personal ground drops across five tiers. Equip one relic or sell spare finds at the hideout. Try poison finishers, healing, Blood recovery, longer dashes, or stealth-focused traits.

Answer the district call.

Join Silverwatch Incursion, Procession of the Lost, or Cinder Breach. Defeat marked enemies solo or with friends to earn Essence, XP, and a themed relic.

Meet your next rival.

Face armed hunters, police, skeletons, ghosts, fallen angels, and demons. Challenge infernal bosses for a chance at Infernal Talon, or summon optional echo bosses for the Oathbreaker title.

Write your own legend.

Track lore, contracts, hunts, and relic discoveries in the Hunter Journal. Earn nine permanent mastery milestones through finishers, exploration, and collecting. First discoveries get their own loot reveal.

A place between hunts.

Return to the protected hideout and expanded apartment. Meet friendly characters, choose dialogue, trade relics, and follow a quick first-hunt tutorial. In the Cinder Below, decide whether to help its formidable survivors.

Enter the Crimson Circle.

Opt into vampire PvP without losing levels on death. Outside the arena, follow contracts, discover lore notes, and keep building your collection at your own pace.

Three rotating co-op events

  • Silverwatch Incursion: face hunters in Iron Ward from level 3.
  • Procession of the Lost: face ghosts in Thornveil Forest from level 5.
  • Cinder Breach: face demons in the Cinder Below from level 10.

Events rotate every six minutes and remain active for four. Defeat four marked enemies; contribute damage and stay nearby when they fall to earn participation. Completion grants 80 Essence, 60 XP, and a themed relic, once per rotation.

Relics change how you fight

Thornveil Venom poisons armed enemies on a third claw hit. Sanguine Knot heals you, while Cinder Heart restores Blood. Veilrunner Thread improves Bat Dash, and Quay Salt extends Mist and reduces enemy detection. New drops preserve your equipped relic, so collecting does not interrupt your build.

The five tiers are Fledgling, Veilbound, Nightforged, Crimson, and Ancient. Equip one relic at a time and sell spare finds for Essence. Your Journal remembers discoveries even after you sell them.

Optional fights, lasting achievements

Summon Captain Vesper’s Oath Unbound echo in Nightlife at level 10 or the Infernal Warden’s Last Sentence echo in the Cinder Below at level 15. Read their lunges and novas; your first echo victory earns the cosmetic Oathbreaker title. Infernal boss loot includes a 20% chance at Infernal Talon.

Nine mastery milestones reward 10, 50, and 150 finishers against armed NPCs; 3, 6, and 9 district discoveries; and 3, 7, and 12 relic discoveries. Rewards are automatic, one-time Essence and XP. Milestones stay completed, with no daily reset or missed-day penalty.

A clearer, more satisfying hunt

The claw button now shows your confirmed three-hit combo progress. New relic discoveries receive tier-colored cards and sound cues that wait for a combat pause and closed menus. Reduced-effects and sound settings are respected.

Getting started

On PC, click to claw, Q to Bat Dash, E to talk, F to feed, and M for the Grimoire. Mobile uses on-screen controls. Double jump unlocks at level 5 with a cooldown. Class-specific powers expand as you level; Nightborn gains a ten-second Mist Cloak at level 10.

Progress autosaves. Optional purchases are available. City Vampires remains a public alpha; balance, multiplayer, and device polish continue. Roblox determines account eligibility and availability.
